Well today at the end of school the principal made an announcement that a student has MRSA ( a type of staph), and that they were going to do a super clean on all the touched places. Well this freaked me out. I went home and rubbed rubbing alcohol on my whole body, then changed my clothes, and then I sprayed my clothes with a spray bottle full of water and you guessed it, rubbing alcohol. I have a suspicion to who it might be, but they didn’t release a name.

Yeah it seems to be breaking out more. I was infected over summer and it ate an inch deep hole in my arm.

Tell me is this infection something to be scared of, because it evolved and is now resistant to beta-lactam antibiotics.

MRSA for you people who dont know what it is, is a new type of staff infection that is resistant to all antibiotics. Another high school in my town had a case of it in school, some pretty scary stuff

* when i said resistant to all antibiotics, i meant they have used antibiotics, and none have killed the infection yet. So basicly they dont have a cure

We had a staph outbreak, but it wasn’t a huge one, and it was treatable.

My brother had it in his leg last year. That was BEFORE all of this hype about it came out. He has a dent in his leg where it was. Pretty nasty.
